Gaby Borda called the Stevenson Ranch Elementary School PTO Association Meeting to order at 7:02 P.M. via Zoom.
Pledge of Allegiance
FINANCIAL REPORT – Sabra Rettman
Starting Balance $ 62,545.78
Total Inflows $ .53
Total Outflows $ 2,147.22
Ending Balance $ 60,399.09
Ratification of Bills - Moved to ratify checks and EFTs for December. It was seconded, motion carried. Presentation of Bills - Moved to pay the bills for January. It was seconded, motion carried. (Please see Treasurer’s Financial Reports)
PRINCIPAL’S REPORT – Chad Rose
∙ Excited to have kids back next week.
∙ Visitors/Teachers/Staff need daily COVID screening.
∙ Food Drive will donate food to Newhall School District.
∙ Planning for next year’s budget - need to know if PTO still intends to pay for the two part-time teachers PTO has paid for in the past (Intervention & Innovations). It will cost $35,000, at the most. If state or federal funds become available (due to pandemic), these funds may not be necessary. Motion to pay for next year’s Intervention and Innovation teachers, not to exceed $35,000. It was seconded, motion carried.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT – Gaby Borda
∙ “Welcome Back” yard signs, first one free (with advertising); $99 each, thereafter. ∙ Discussed ideas for a “welcome back” care package for teachers – masks, snacks, sanitizer. ∙ Teacher Appreciation – We still have $2,500 gift card at Bob’s to purchase 3 tables and 18 chairs.
Mr. Rose will check to see what the options are and if it could be delivered by Teacher Appreciation week.
SIXTH GRADE GRADUATION – Kim Simcox
∙ Ordered t-shirts
∙ Pictures on foam board

WIZARD OF OZ – Janelle Syverud
∙ Participating students pay $30
∙ Discussed possible gift(s) for supplemental staff; Committee can use “Wizard of Oz” funds, appropriately, as it sees fit.
