SRE Says Goodbye to Award Winning PTO President

Gabriela Borda’s time as Stevenson Ranch Elementary PTO President is coming to an end on July 1st. Board President can be one of the toughest and thankless volunteer roles at the school. Gaby took on these responsibilities with grace, dedication, and a positivity that drew people in.

Gaby’s accomplishments as President are too numerous to list here, but to name but a few: she recruited and mentored a new wave of parents to lead SRE initiatives for years to come, she spearheaded the creation of the website that this is being posted on, she navigated the COIVD era at school with ease, and also stepped up to fill in the void when various initiatives did not have a parent volunteer.

Gaby will be greatly missed as President but we are lucky that she will continue to support the school in other volunteer roles. Thank you Gaby from everyone at SRE for all of your hard work these past two years. When things run smoothly, it is easy to not recognize in the moment the tireless effort behind the scenes that you do to keep the programs the children benefit from moving forward. So thank you. We do notice and so appreciate everything you have done to help our kids thrive during their time at SRE.
